Love Li OTT release date: When and where to watch Vasishta N Simha’s romantic action flick

Love Li is a film that Vasishta N Simha was quite excited about, although he was tight-lipped about the plot. A script that he instantly fell in love with, is how he’d described it. In fact, he was so committed to completing it, that he kept working on it even amid his busy wedding preparations and even got his wife, actress Hariprriya to sing for the film.

The action-packed romantic drama, which had Vasishta as the leading man, released in theatres in mid-June, but failed to gather momentum at the box office. Almost two months later, the film’s managed to make it to OTT. Love Li, as has been the case with most other Kannada films, dropped on a streamer with no announcement to that effect. As of August 7, 2024, Love Li is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

The plot of Love Li

Written and directed by debutant Chetan Keshav, Love Li had Vasishta as a reformed gangster, Jai, whose relationship with Janani (Stefy Patel), literally turns his life around. The couple lead a peaceful life of domesticity with their little daughter and all is well, until tragedy strikes when Janani is diagnosed to be suffering from a debilitating and potentially deadly disease. While Jai focuses his energy on her treatment, realization that her health issues are a result of someone’s actions pushes him into revenge mode.

Despite a decent mix of romance, action and drama, Love Li was panned for offering nothing worthwhile to watch, but for Vasishta’s earnest performance. Also on the cast of the film are Dattanna, Sadhu Kokila, Malavika Avinash, Suraj, Sameeksha and child artiste, Vanshika.

In Kannada cinema, Vasishta was last seen in Yadha Yadha Hi, the remake of the Telugu film Evaru, during the release of which it was revealed that the actor is in a relationship with his co-star Hariprriya, whom he married shortly after. He will next be seen in Shivarajkumar’s Mufti prequel Bhairathi Ranagal, which will release in theatres in September.
