ZEE5 is set to release a new film called Logout, featuring Babil Khan in the leading role. The film aims to shed light on the impact of digital lives on everyday existence. On April 8, the producers unveiled the trailer, which appears to be compelling as it delves into a significant and current issue surrounding social media. In this movie, Babil will take on the character of a social media influencer.

A ZEE5's original film, Logout, aims to shed light on the adverse effects of social media and its impact on everyday life. Featuring Babil Khan in the role of a social media influencer, the trailer depicts his constant phone addiction, leading him to neglect his surroundings and ultimately resulting in a road accident.

Pratyush (played by Babil Khan), a 26-year-old influencer striving to amass 10 million followers, encounters a sinister reality when a fan's obsessive fixation pulls him into a terrifying game of cat and mouse. Logout serves as a crucial reminder of the contemporary issue of digital addiction. Many individuals mistakenly believe that everything portrayed on social media is factual, leading to blind reliance and corresponding actions. This film is poised to engage audiences by emphasizing the vulnerabilities associated with our digital lives.

Amit Golani directs and Biswapati Sarkar pens the screenplay for Logout, which is set to premiere on ZEE5 on April 18. 

Babil Khan on Logout

In Babil Khan expressed that his role significantly challenged him, pushing him beyond his comfort zone and immersing him in the captivating yet perilous realm of the digital world. 

"Portraying a contemporary influencer and dealing with the intricacies of virtual success presented a distinctive challenge, particularly as my character contrasts sharply with my true self. I take great pride in being part of a narrative that resonates so strongly in today's society, highlighting the more troubling aspects of our online existence," he remarked. 

Additionally, Babil mentioned that Logout is a gripping, high-energy thriller, and he is eager for audiences to experience it.

Director Amit Golani expressed that working on Logout has been an incredibly fulfilling journey, as it delves into the pervasive influence of smartphone dependency in our lives and the sense of vulnerability we experience in their absence. 

"Babil has genuinely brought his character to life, portraying it in a manner that feels both raw and authentic. I am immensely proud of our achievements. With ZEE5 serving as a global platform, Logout is set to reach a broad audience, and I could not have wished for a better opportunity to present this timely, genuine, and profoundly relevant narrative to the world," he remarked. 

In addition, Logout has already been featured at esteemed events, including the 21st Indian Film Festival Stuttgart 2024, Mal Del Plata 2024, Indian Film Festival Melbourne 2024, and the River to River Florence Indian Film Festival 2024.
