Test is a new Tamil sports drama directed by S. Sashikanth, who is making his debut as a director. The movie boasts an impressive lineup of actors, including R. Madhavan, Nayanthara, Siddharth, and Meera Jasmine, along with several familiar faces in supporting roles. On Tuesday, the team dropped the film's trailer on social media. You can catch the film on Netflix starting April 4.

We previously shared that R. Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth are set to star in the upcoming Tamil movie Test, which revolves around cricket. The film is going straight to OTT, with Netflix scheduled to release it on April 4. Before that, the creators have dropped the film's trailer.

The movie centers on Nayanthara as she introduces her husband, played by Madhavan, to cricketer Siddharth. She mentions that they first crossed paths at a Test match where Siddharth was playing, and also reveals that her husband runs a canteen, which annoys Madhavan. We see that Siddharth's character, Arjun, is an experienced batter, while Madhavan's Saravanan is a scientist struggling to complete his project. Nayanthara portrays Kumudha, who has a strong desire to become a mother. The story weaves together the lives of these three characters, each facing challenges that test their passions. The film promises to be an emotional journey that goes beyond just the cricket field.

The plot of Test centers on three everyday people whose lives intertwine against the backdrop of sports. The creators previously shared a teaser showcasing the main characters. This film marks Netflix's first Tamil original release of the year.

Shakthisree Gopalan, making her debut as a music director, has composed the film's soundtrack. Additionally, it marks Meera Jasmine's return to Tamil cinema after a ten-year break. Test is set to premiere directly on Netflix on April 4, skipping a theatrical release. It will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
