Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj, the celebrated actor-director duo joined hands for action thriller Leo, in 2022. The movie, which marked the actor-director duo’s second collaboration after Master, emerged as a massive success, despite receiving mixed reviews. Leo 2 to have THIS title?

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is still hoping that he would be able to make a sequel to Leo at some day in the future, made some interesting revealations. The filmmaker, who addressed the media at a recent event, suggested he would like to name the second installment ‘Parthiban’, which is the name of the family man character portrayed by Thalapathy Vijay in the film. The director’s revelation has left the actor’s fans hopeful about a potential sequel, in the future.

Many cinephiles, who believe that the first half of Leo was fantastic, felt that Vijay delivered one of the finest performances of his acting career as Parthiban, in the film. Even though the flashback portions featuring titular character Leo received mixed reactions from the audiences, Parthiban and his family’s story won many hearts. Thalapathy Vijay’s extraordinary onscreen chemistry with Trisha Krishnan, and his camaraderie with the child artists, were indeed a treat to watch. But the movie was let down by the flashback, which narrates Leo’s bizzare backstory.
