Lately, all we've heard about is Season 2 and the speculations for Season 3, with fans losing sleep over their wild theories. Some think Oh Il-nam is actually the Front Man's dad, others believe the whole thing is set on a ship, and there are even crazier ideas floating around. Now, with Gi-hun's Lee Jung-jae, Front Man's Lee Byung-hun, and creator Hwang Dong-hyuk coming together to discuss these theories, it's going to be quite the event!

Squid Game 3 Theories Discussed by the Cast

In case you're wondering, the stars of Squid Game, Lee Jung-jae and Lee Byung-hun, along with creator Hwang Dong-hyuk, recently joined forces for an episode of First We Feast's Hot Ones Versus. Their mission? To determine whether some fan theories are true or face the heat of a spicy wing. While Byung-hun took on the challenge, Jung-jae played the role of the narrator, leading to Byung-hun giving a wild yet mysterious answer to the three popular theories presented.

As Jung-jae read the question, he said, “Squid Game Season 2 ends with a cliffhanger, and fans are buzzing about what’s next. Which of these theories is true: The island is actually a ship, Gi-hun is Oh Il-nam's son, or Front Man is an undercover cop?” Byung-hun responded, “Honestly, none of those are right.” When Jung-jae suggested he take a bite, Byung-hun was taken aback, saying, “Wait, that’s not how this works?”

Hwang Dong-hyuk had to step in and tell Byung-hun to eat since he was dodging the question. Byung-hun shot back, “So you want me to spoil the Season 3 ending right now? If that’s what you’re after… I guess I’ll just do that.” Jung-jae chimed in, “If it were me, I’d just munch on a spicy wing and get it over with. Maybe you should rethink your contract?”

This is when Lee Byung-hun dropped a super vague hint about the theories fans will have to ponder. He said, “The ending for Season 3 is… Front Man will… to your character… take off his mask and say… I’m your father. [Laughs] I’m really sorry.”
