Sorgavaasal – Theatres (November 29)
Sorgavaasal stars RJ Balaji and is written and directed by Sidharth Vishwanath in his debut. The film is majorly set in a prison and is expected to be a dark and gritty film, which will show RJ Balaji in a never-before-seen avatar. Apart from RJ Balaji, the cast also features Selvaraghavan, Natty, Karunaas, Saniya Iyappan, Sharaf-U-Dheen, Hakkim Shah, Balaji Sakthivel, Anthonythasan, Ravi Raghavendra, and Samuel Robinson.
Miss You – Theatres (November 29)
Miss You will see Siddharth returning to the romance genre, after acting in films like Indian 2 and Chittha. The film is helmed by filmmaker N Rajasekar and also features Ashika Ranganath, Karunakaran, Bala Saravanan, Lollu Sabha Maran and others. It is billed to be a romantic drama.
Parachute – Disney+ Hotstar (November 29)
Parachute is a web series which will feature Krishna, Kani Thiru, Kaali Venkat, Bava Chelladurai, Shaam, and others, along with child artists Shakthi Ritwik, and Iyal in prominent roles. The series is helmed by Sridhar K and will have six episodes.
Lucky Baskhar – Netflix (November 28)
Lucky Baskhar is a Telugu film which will also be available in Tamil to stream. Headlined by Dulquer Salmaan and helmed by Venky Atluri, the period drama is about a bank employee who gets dejected for not getting enough recognition for his handwork, and soon indulges himself in malpractices to earn more money.
Uppu Puli Kaaram – Disney+ Hotstar (ongoing)
Uppu Puli Kaaram is an ongoing series, which revolves around an elderly couple living with their four grown-up children. However, their lives take a turn when the father’s son from another mother comes to live with the family, leading to drama and confusion. With the couple having their own secret about their new son, and the latter being a famous actor, the series is a family drama focusing on the life of each family member.
Vera Maari Office S2 – Aha Tamil (ongoing)
The second season of Vera Maari Office, a series set against the backdrop of working space, takes a horror comedy turn. The star ensemble includes RJ Vijay, Janani Ashokkumar, VJ Pappu, Soundariya Nanjundan, Raveena Daha, Jaiseelan, Vikkals Vikram, and others. It is directed by Jaswin J. Shivakanth, who has served as the creator and producer of the series.
