Several new web series and movies will be available to watch this weekend on OTT platforms like Netflix, ZEE5, SonyLIV, Amazon Prime Video, JioCinema, and Disney+ Hotstar as well as in theatres. From the much-awaited sequel to Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's Stree to Kay Kay Menon's thriller show Shekhar Homes, let's take a look at the ones that are available to watch online as well as in theatres. 

Latest Bollywood OTT releases (August 12 to August 18)

Vedaa - August 15 (Theatres)

Featuring John Abraham and Sharvari in the lead roles, Vedaa is directed by Nikkhil Advani. The narrative of the film revolves around a young woman Vedaa, played by Sharvari who faces and resists a repressive system against the portrayal of an antagonist with the help of an ex-army officer Abhimanyu, played by John. The film also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Kumud Mishra among others. Vedaa will release in theatres on August 15.

Chamak: The Conclusion - August 16 (SonyLIV [OTTplay Premium])

Chamak: The Conclusion is directed by Rohit Jugra and is a musical thriller starring Paramvir Cheena, Isha Talwar, and Mohit Malik in crucial roles. As revealed by the makers, this season promises more thrill with a gripping narrative. The show will unveil some dark truth behind the glitz of music. The show is all set to start streaming on SonyLIV on August 16.

Shekhar Home - August 14 (JioCinema)

The series stars Kay Kay Menon in the lead and Ranvir Shorey as his partner. Directed by Rohan Sippy and Srijit Mukherji, the show promises an adventurous ride and is an ode to the times when human intelligence rules over technology and is set in the early 1990s in the tranquil town of Lonpur, Bihar. The series also stars Rasika Dugar and Kirti Kulhari in important parts. Shekhar Homes is all set to stream on Jio Cinema from August 14. 

Khel Khel Mein - August 15 (Theatres)

Khel Khel Mein boasts an ensemble including Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. The narrative of the film revolves around the seven friends who gather for a dinner party and end up playing a game where they need to surrender their phones. What happens next is a slate of chaotic incidences when each one's secrets start to unveil. This Mudassar Aziz's dramedy will release in theatres on August 15. 

Stree 2 - August 15 (Theatres)

This one is the much-awaited sequel to the hit film Stree. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor are coming back, this time to fight a new monster 'Sarkati' with the help of Stree. The film, once again promises a lot of spooky sequences with loads of laughter. Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurrana are also featured in the film which is directed by Amar Kaushil. Stree 2 will be released in cinemas near you on August 1.
