Arun Varma's forthcoming directorial project, Baby Girl, attracted significant attention upon its announcement due to the reunion of the Traffic team. Has Nivin Pauly taken over Kunchacko Boban's role in Baby Girl?

The Malayalam film Baby Girl commenced production earlier this week following a traditional pooja ceremony. While the cast and crew of Arun Varma's film were present at the event, the lead actor was notably absent. Kunchacko Boban, who was previously announced as the star of the film, did not participate in the ceremony.

Reports indicate that Kunchacko Boban will be unable to participate in the project due to an extension of his schedule for the Mahesh Narayanan film, which features both Mammootty and Mohanlal. Consequently, Nivin Pauly has been brought in to replace him in a last-minute adjustment. According to reports, the Premam actor joined the cast only a week prior to the commencement of filming.

Baby Girl cast

Apart from the lead hero, Baby Girl features actors such as Lijomol Jose, Sangeeth Prathap of Premalu fame, Azees Nedumangad and Aswanth Lal. Abhimanyu Thilakan, who made his acting debut with Unni Mukundan’s Marco, is also a part of the project. Set in Thiruvananthapuram, Baby Girl follows the events that happen over a day.

There is much expectation from the film, touted to be a thriller, as it is penned by Bobby and Sanjay, who have scripted several notable Malayalam films such as Ayalum Njanum Thammil and Mumbai Police.

Arun Varma had previously directed Garudan, which was also produced by Listin Stephen. Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon starred in the film, along with Siddique, Jagadish, Major Ravi, Dileesh Pothan, Nishanth Sagar, Abhirami, and Divya Pillai.
