Since its release, Laapataa Ladies has been well-received by the viewers. The film, which is directed by Kiran Rao, has been receiving all the appreciation for its beautiful story, outstanding performances, and the hit song, 'Sajni', which instantly became everyone's favourite. The film stars Sparsh Shrivastava, Pratibha Ranta, and Nitanshi Goel, who all are being praised for their performances. Now, we wonder if the film is getting a sequel soon, here's why we think so! 

Will there be a sequel to Laapataa Ladies?

If you have watched the film you must know that Sparsh's character Deepak reunites with his wife, Phool, and the film ends on a happy note. However, now in a live session, the director opens up about what if Deepak and Jaya's characters ended up together in the film. 

In a live session held by Netflix, when Sparsh and Pratibha were all excited to answer fans' questions, a user asked, “do you think in an alt universe Jaya & Deepak ended up together?" To this, Pratibha replied, “I think so ya, kyuki I think Jaya and Deepak bahut ache best friends ban sakte hai.” Sparsh added, “I think this question belongs to Kiran Rao.” He then tells the director, “Ma’am just write something where this can end up together.” And then what? Kiran Rao wrote, “Ok on it.” Now does this mean we can see Laapataa Ladies 2?

Well, this has got all of us so excited as Laapataa Ladies is one of those films which felt like a warm hug and we need more of such films with such emotional and heartwarming stories filled with love.
