Mohanlal is all gearing up to team up with some of the finest talents of Malayalam cinema, for his upcoming projects. The superstar’s 360th project, which has been tentatively titled L360, is directed by Operation Java fame filmmaker, Tharun Moorthy. The second schedule filming of the project is set to go on floors, very soon. Meanwhile, the recent updates suggest that Mohanlal’s L360 might not hit the theatres this year, as planned before.

Mohanlal’s L360 pushed to 2025?

If the recent updates are to be believed, L360 might not hit the theatres in December 2024, as reported earlier. The team is reportedly considering the possibility of pushing the release of the upcoming Mohanlal starrer to 2025. The initial release plans were changed reportedly after the release of Barroz, the directorial debut of the Malayalam superstar, got postponed yet again due to the delay in post-production works. For the uninitiated, the 3D fantasy film was earlier supposed to be released on September 12, 2024.

As per the reports, Mohanlal and team are considering to release the 3D fantasy film in October 2024, ahead of the Ayudha Pooja celebrations. This has prompted the makers of L360 to reconsider their release plans, as they want to maintain an interval of at least three months between the releases of both the films. In that case, the untitled Tharun Moorthy directorial has high chances to hit the theatres across the globe in January 2025, as Mohanlal’s first release of 2025. The makers have not reacted to these reports yet.

L360: Here’s what we know

Mohanlal is set to appear in the role of Shanmugham, a taxi driver who shares a rare emotional bond with his car. The Malayalam superstar is reuniting with his evergree onscreen pair, veteran actress Shobana, for the upcoming Tharun Moorthy directorial. The Manichithrathazhu actress is reportedly playing the role of Shanmugham’s wife in the movie, which is scripted by Sunil KR. The first schedule shooting of the film was wrapped up in Ranni, Pathanamthitta, in July 2024.
