Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran are joining forces again for their third collaboration in the new film, L2 Empuraan. This movie is a follow-up to their hit 2019 film, Lucifer, and is set to hit theaters in March 2025. Recent news reveals that production is almost wrapped up, and Prithviraj has just announced that the first cut of the film is complete, which has definitely caught fans off guard.

The actor and filmmaker recently shared some exciting news about L2 Empuraan on their social media. Prithviraj Sukumaran, who’s currently tied up with the film’s post-production in Mumbai, posted a pic of editor Akhilesh Mohan at the studio console, captioning it: “#L2E #Empuraan First cut done! @excelmovies @akhileshmohan.” This update definitely caught the audience off guard, especially those eagerly anticipating the film's release.

The post-production for L2 Empuraan is moving along quickly and is almost done. According to the latest buzz, director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his crew are gearing up to start unveiling character posters for Mohanlal’s new film in a few weeks. Similar to what they did with Lucifer, it sounds like they’re planning a big poster release campaign for this project, which is being called the largest ever in Malayalam cinema.

Mohanlal is gearing up to bring back the beloved character Khureshi Abraam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally, in L2 Empuraan. Joining him are Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Saikumar, and Baiju Santhosh, who will reprise their roles as Zayed Masood, Jatin Ramdas, Govardhan, Priyadarshini Ramdas, Mahesha Varma, and Murugan. The sequel to Lucifer will also feature a talented cast including Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shine Tom Chacko, Arjun Das, Caroline Koziol, Abhimanyu Singh, and more. Fans can look forward to the teaser for L2 Empuraan, which is set to drop in the first week of January 2025.
