As we mentioned before, it has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark globally, while its domestic earnings in all languages have reached Rs 50 crore.

The creators of L2 Empuraan have announced that the film has already surpassed the 100-crore mark globally just two days after its release. With the extended Eid weekend ahead, they anticipate an even larger audience, despite the film receiving mixed reviews.

Upon its debut, Empuraan sparked a debate on social media, with viewers split over scenes depicting riots and violence in Gujarat, leading to objections from right-wing political groups. As a result, the filmmakers have made 17 changes to the movie. The revised version of Empuraan is set to hit theaters next week. It remains to be seen whether these changes will boost the film's success or hinder it.

L2 Empuraan's cast and crew

Written by Murali Gopi, L2 Empuraan is helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and produced under Aashirvad Cinemas. The film boasts a star-studded cast, featuring Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Kishore, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and more. Mohanlal's son, Pranav, takes on the role of the younger version of the main character.

This action thriller includes a soundtrack by Deepak Dev and is captured on film by cinematographer Sujith Vaassudev, with editing done by Akhilesh Mohan. The creators have yet to disclose any information about the third installment.
