L2 Empuraan box office collection on day 11: The eagerly awaited sequel to Mohanlal's hit film Lucifer premiered in theaters on March 27. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the movie continues to perform strongly at the box office in its second week. According to a recent report from Sacnilk.com, the film is approaching the milestone of ₹100 crore in box office earnings after eleven days.

The latest report indicates that L2 Empuraan garnered ₹4.25 crore on its eleventh day of release, marking its second Sunday. The film achieved an impressive ₹21 crore on its opening day, setting a new record for any Malayalam film, doubling the previous high. However, it experienced a 45 percent decline on its second day, earning ₹11.5 crore. Over its first Saturday and Sunday, the film accumulated ₹13.25 crore. In its inaugural week, L2 Empuraan netted ₹84.35 crore in India. With the figures from day 11 included, the film's total collection now reaches ₹98.35 crore.
Additionally, the report highlights that L2 Empuraan had a Malayalam occupancy rate of 33.90 percent on Sunday.

In L2 Empuraan, Mohanlal reprises his role as Stephen Nedumpally, also known as Khureshi Ab’raam. With assistance from Zayed (Prithviraj), he returns from abroad to focus on domestic issues, particularly the need to confront Chief Minister Jathin Ramdas (Tovino Thomas).
The film encountered controversy when several right-wing activists objected to scenes referencing the 2002 riots and the depiction of a right-wing party, which included subtle hints at the Indian political scenario. Following the removal of 24 scenes, the film was re-released on April 2. Mohanlal, who is both the actor and producer, expressed his regret regarding the criticism directed at the film due to specific sequences.
