L2 Empuraan box office earnings on day 13: Prithviraj Sukumaran's third directorial venture, L2 Empuraan, featuring Mohanlal in the lead, premiered on March 27 and received a mix of positive reviews and controversies. As reported by Sacnilk, the film's net collection in India reached ₹101.15 crore by its second Tuesday.

The trade website has reported that L2 Empuraan generated an estimated net revenue of ₹1.25 crore on its second Tuesday, bringing its total earnings in India to approximately ₹101.15 crore. The film achieved ₹88.25 crore in its opening week, which is a remarkable feat for a Malayalam production.

During Friday and the weekend, it earned ₹2.9 crore, ₹3.35 crore, and ₹3.85 crore net, respectively. On Monday, it collected ₹1.55 crore net and maintained that figure on Tuesday. The film has surpassed the ₹250 crore threshold globally, establishing itself as the highest-grossing Malayalam film to date.

In Kerala alone, it has grossed over ₹80 crore, although it has yet to surpass the 2023 film 2018, which earned over ₹88 crore in the region. The film's producers celebrated this achievement, stating, “One of the elite few to cross 80 Cr+ in Kerala. History has a new chapter.”

L2 Empuraan narrates the journey of Stephen Nedumpally, also known as Khureshi Ab’raam (Mohanlal), who returns to Kerala upon discovering that his brother, CM Jathin Ramdas (Tovino Thomas), has allied with an extremist named Baldev (Abhimanyu Singh). Stephen decides to pause his efforts against drug cartels to address pressing matters at home. His close associate, Zayed Masood (Prithviraj), along with his sister, Priyadarshini (Manju Warrier), has personal stakes in the situation.

Certain scenes from the film were edited and modified, including character names, following backlash regarding portrayals of the 2002 Gujarat riots. Additionally, the film's production team has encountered raids by the Enforcement Directorate and received income tax notices related to various issues.
