Prithviraj shared a fresh poster showcasing Mohanlal, highlighting the impressive achievement of selling 96.14k tickets in just one hour. Ticket sales kicked off at 9 am on March 21, and by 10:30 am, the app recorded an astonishing 96k tickets sold per hour, as reported by Sacnilk. However, ticket availability hasn't been fully launched nationwide yet, with the majority of bookings happening in Kerala. It'll be interesting to see if the film can keep up this pace leading up to its release on March 27.

To give you some background, back in December, the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule, Mythri Movies, announced that the Allu Arjun film sold 100,000 tickets within its first hour. In comparison, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan managed to sell 41,000 tickets in under two hours, while Pathaan racked up about 50,000. Vijay's Leo sold 83,000 tickets in its opening hour, and Prabhas's Kalki 2898 AD surpassed 93,000.

L2 Empuraan Overview

L2 Empuraan is the follow-up to Prithviraj’s successful 2019 film, Lucifer. In this installment, Mohanlal takes on the role of the enigmatic Khureshi Ab'raam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally. The movie delves into the political landscape, showcasing how influential organizations shape the way the world operates.

Prithviraj also plays a significant part, joined by a talented cast that includes Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Abhimanyu Singh, Eriq Ebouaney, Jerome Flynn, Nikhat Khan Hegde, and Suraj Venjaramoodu.

L2 Empuraan is set to hit theaters on March 27 and will be available in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. The recently released trailer suggests that the film will delve deeper into Stephen’s backstory as he returns to Kerala to tackle new challenges.
