Kurangu Pedal, the recently released Tamil film presented by Sivakarthikeyan, is now available for streaming on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium. The period drama is a children's film which talks about a group of young boys learning how to ride a cycle during their summer vacations.

Kurangu Pedal on Aha

Kurangu Pedal released on May 3 in theatres. The film is directed by filmmaker Kamalakannan and backed by Sivakarthikeyan Productions. Kurangu Pedal is a period drama and following its theatrical run, the film is now available for streaming on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium on June 14.

A celebrated film in the festival circuit, Kurangu Pedal became one of the three Tamil films to be screened at the Indian Panorama section of the 53rd International Film Festival of India. It revolves around a bunch of schoolboys who aspire to learn how to ride a bicycle all on their own during their summer vacations. The film throws light on the difficulties the boys face while trying to learn all by their own.

Kurangu Pedal features a cast comprising of actors Santhosh Velmurugan, VR Ragavan, M Gnanasekar, Rathish, Sai Ganesh, Kaali Venkat, Prasanna Balachander, Jenson Diwakar and others. Upon its theatrical release, the film received mixed to positive response. ““The film had all the potential out there and also had them served almost on a platter, but failed to capitalise into making it something deeper," reads OTTplay review of the film.

Kurangu Pedal is backed by Sivakarthikeyan, along with Savitha Shanmugam and SuMee Baskaran, Kurangu Pedal has music scored by Ghibran Vaibodha, editing by Shivanandeeswaran and cinematography by SuMee.

The film is one among the Tamil titles that Aha has been acquiring. In the recent times, the platform has bagged the post-theatrical rights of recent releases like The Boys, Romeo, Hot Spot, Vadakkupatti Ramasamy, Ranam Arama Thavarel and others. The platform also renewed its web series Vera Maari Office for second season as well.
