Officer on Duty, the latest investigative thriller from Mollywood starring Kunchacko Boban, is now available on OTT platforms. Directed by Jithu Ashraf, this Malayalam film was reportedly the only box office hit released in February. You can catch it streaming on Netflix, complete with audio options in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Officer on Duty: Viewers are really enjoying the intense storyline

Since its release on OTT, Officer on Duty has been getting a ton of positive feedback, particularly from viewers enjoying the dubbed versions. Reactions have varied from “Another fantastic thriller from the Malayalam film industry... Engaging screenplay... A must-see for cinema enthusiasts!!” to “It’s good, but the ending is just average. The movie features Kunchacko Boban as a fiery police officer whose temper has caused him some serious issues, resulting in his demotion from DySP to CI. When he gets a tip about someone attempting to pawn a fake gold chain, his probe uncovers a string of horrific crimes tied to a personal loss he experienced. Despite being advised to abandon the investigation, he refuses to back down.

Kunchacko Boban was joined by a talented cast that included Priya Mani, Jagadish, Vishakh Nair, Vaisakh Shankar, Vishnu G Varrier, Ramzan Muhammed, Leya Mammen, Aishwarya Raj, and Amit Eapen, among others. The film was produced with a budget of about Rs 12 crore and has reportedly earned Rs 50 crore at the box office. "Officer on Duty" marks Shahi Kabir's third project as a writer, following his previous works, "Joseph" and "Nayattu." Interestingly, his directorial debut, "Ela Veezha Poonchira," was based on a story by Nidhish G and Shaji Maarad. Currently, Shahi is said to be working on his second directorial project, titled "Ronth."
