Punjabi actor Ammy Virk was recently seen in Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri-starrer Hindi film, Bad Newz. However, before that, he did a Punjabi film titled—Kudi Haryane Val Di—which released in June. Now, after two months of its theatrical release, Kudi Haryane Val Di is gearing up for its OTT debut on Chaupal. The romance drama also stars Sonam Bajwa opposite Virk in the lead role.

When to watch Kudi Haryane Val Di

The Punjabi romance drama will be released on September 5, 2024, on Chaupal. You can also enjoy the film through OTTplay Premium. Released in theatres in June 2024, this Punjabi film had garnered good reviews. Apart from Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa, the film also stars Yashpal Sharma, Ajay Hooda, Yograj Singh, Hardeep Gill, Honey Mattu and Seema Kaushal in pivotal roles. 

Kudi Haryane Val Di plot

This film follows a young energetic man named Amardeep, who lives in the heart of Punjab, where cricket reigns supreme. With an innocent soul and happy mood, his life is filled with dreams of becoming a cricketer. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Meera, a Haryanvi woman who is passionate about another sports wrestling. And Amardeep finds himself getting drawn towards her.

Inspired by Meera’s determination to pursue wrestling, Amardeep decides to give it a try. He soon begins intense training, and with Meera’s encouragement, he discovers his love for wrestling, which leads him to pursue the sport internationally. The rest of the film is about whether he would be able to win the coveted trophy and confess his love for Meera.

Sonam Bajwa on fun moments

During the promotional interviews for Kudi Haryane Val Di, lead actor Sonam Bajwa talked about how much fun she had with Virk and about her huge love for food. During an interview with ANI, she shared how they enjoyed the culinary heritage of Haryana while shooting the film.

"Food bonding was a significant part of our experience. Food is a beautiful way to connect with the local people and understand their culture. We definitely bonded over that,” she said.
