Shahid Kapoor's "Deva" was among the most anticipated action-thrillers of 2025. The film premiered in theatres on January 31 but experienced a sluggish start at the box office. In addition to Kapoor, the movie featured a talented ensemble cast, including Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati, and Kubbra Sait. Recently, Kubbra shared a collection of behind-the-scenes images from the film, along with a significant hint regarding a potential sequel, which has undoubtedly thrilled fans.

Is a "Deva" sequel in the works?  

Kubbra Sait took to her Instagram to share behind-the-scenes photos showcasing Shahid Kapoor on the set of "Deva." The images depict the pair rehearsing their action sequences with firearms. In her post, she included an extensive caption, but it was her response to a fan that sparked speculation about a sequel. 

The fan remarked, "Everything was good... it was all going well... but why was the ending like that? I couldn’t understand," to which Kubbra replied, "Watch part 2."

In her caption, Kubbra extended her appreciation to both the cast and crew. She stated, "A heartfelt acknowledgement to the entire team and support staff of this film, which embodies authenticity at its finest. From the remarkable Assistant Directors to the exceptional Fashion Stylists, along with their diligent assistants, our esteemed Set Dadas, and the outstanding Spot Boys and Girls - each of the three hundred individuals contributed to achieving a remarkable feat." Additionally, she conveyed her gratitude to her management and expressed thanks to everyone involved.

Simultaneously, Kubbra Sait portrayed the compelling character of a police officer, Dipti Singh.

The critique of Deva states, "Deva, referred to as an 'adaptation', attempts to surpass its original material but ultimately finds itself in a futile pursuit of its own essence. Although Shahid Kapoor delivers a performance that showcases his established skills, the film suffers from a lack of coherence, neglecting to resolve its numerous loose threads."

The narrative centres on Shahid Kapoor portraying a defiant police officer who delves into the murder of a colleague, revealing a complex network of deceit and corruption within the police force while traversing the harsh realities of Mumbai. Pooja Hegde stars as the female lead, supported by Pavail Gulati, Pravesh Rana, and Kubbra Sait.
