Antony Varghese is back in another power-packed film, Kondal, which opens in theatres on September 13. Here is all you need to know about this action drama before it hits theatres.

Release date

The film will have a theatrical debut on September 13 during Onam. Action movie lovers and Pepe's fans will find the movie to be a true delight this holiday season. A sneak peek at some of the film's action scenes has further raised viewers' expectations. Kondal will play in cinemas with Asif Ali's Kishkindha Kaandam and Ajayante Randam Moshanam, which stars Tovino Thomas.

The runtime of the film is two hours and 27 minutes.

Trailer

The movie appears to be set in a coastal area and the trailer portrays Manuel as a young man who is an alcoholic. It seems like his wife is constantly worried that he will be in trouble for standing up for the vulnerable members of his community. However, Manuel and a group of influencial men get into a bigger argument after a brief altercation turns violent. All in all, it has some intriguing action sequences set on a boat in the middle of the sea that have never been seen in a Malayalam film before. 

Cast

The impressive ensemble of Kondal includes Kannada actor Raj B Shetty, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Nandu, Gauthami Nair, Manikandan Rajan, Pramod Veliyanadu, Prathibha, Usha, Jaya Kurup, Sarath Sabha, Siraj, and Rahul Rajagopal.

Crew

Weekend Blockbusters, the production company that brought to screen the hit film RDX, is financing Kondal, which is helmed by Ajit Mampally. Sam CS created both the original score and the songs. Sreejith Sarang is the film's editor, and Deepak D Menon is in charge of the camera.

OTT platform

As of right now, no details are known about the movie's post-theatrical streaming rights. However, it is reasonable to presume that the online streaming service will be made available to the audience after the film's theatrical debut.

Censor

Kondal has a U censor board certificate, which means that it is suitable for all audiences, especially for the action scenes.
