Kingston, the newly released Tamil film featuring actor-composer GV Prakash in the leading role, is poised to make its debut on OTT platforms. ZEE5 has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for the film, which is set to premiere on April 13 at 12 pm.

Kingston OTT release date: When and where to stream GV Prakash’s sea fantasy thriller

GV Prakash not only stars in but also produced the 2025 sea fantasy horror adventure film titled Kingston, which was released in March and directed by debutant Kamal Prakash. This film marks GV Prakash’s 25th project as a lead actor.

Following its theatrical release, Kingston will transition to OTT. ZEE5 has confirmed the streaming date and time, with the film set to launch on April 13 at 12 pm. 

In addition to GV Prakash, the film features Divya Bharathi as the female lead, marking her second project with him after Bachelor, which is available for streaming on SonyLIV. The cast also includes notable actors such as Antony, Chethan, Kumaravel, and Sabu Mohan in significant roles.

What is Kingston plot?

Set in the fishing village of Thoovathur, which has prohibited fishing, Kingston follows the titular character who dares to explore the supposedly cursed sea. It is rumored that those who venture into these waters never return. As the right-hand man to Thomas, the local smuggling kingpin, Kingston discovers that he has been involved in drug smuggling rather than the intended sea cucumbers, prompting him to brave the haunted sea himself.

The film's cinematography is handled by Gokul Benoy, while GV Prakash Kumar composed the music. Dhivek wrote the dialogues, and the editing was managed by San Lokesh, with S.S. Moorthy serving as the art director. Kingston is produced under the banners of Zee Studios and Parallel Universe.
