Kingdom teaser and title reveal: Vijay Deverakonda's forthcoming film, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, has officially been named Kingdom. The title and teaser were revealed on Wednesday, featuring voice-overs by Jr NTR and Suriya for the Telugu and Tamil versions, respectively. The Hindi version, titled Saamraajya, includes a voice-over by Ranbir Kapoor.
The teaser immerses viewers in the midst of a battle, set against a coastal backdrop, where the conflict results in significant casualties on both sides. Jr NTR's narration suggests that this turmoil is intended to herald the emergence of a new hero.
While details regarding Vijay's character remain sparse, one scene depicts him engaged in combat while wielding a police shield for protection. Another scene shows him in a prison setting, clad in a prison uniform and surrounded by inmates. The teaser concludes with his character asserting, “I will do anything needed, sir, including destroying everything.” Kingdom is scheduled for theatrical release on May 30.

Kingdom, helmed by Gowtam, is being promoted as an action thriller. In July of the previous year, two images featuring Vijay from the film surfaced online. One photograph depicted him as a passenger on a motorcycle at the beach, captured from a distance, while the other showed him gazing into the camera amidst a village festival.
The first image was taken during an outdoor filming session, whereas the second was leaked from a monitor on the set. In both images, he presents a rugged appearance, characterized by cropped hair and a beard. Following the leak of these images, the production team issued a poster of the actor, urging fans to exercise patience and refrain from sharing unauthorized content. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Additionally, Vijay is set to collaborate once more with Rahul Sankrithyan for VD 14, a period drama, following their previous project, Taxiwaala. Further details regarding this film are anticipated.
