Kiccha Sudeep’s much-awaited Max to release on THIS date?

When will Kiccha Sudeep’s Max be in theatres? That’s a question fans have been asking for several months, but have got no answer. The film, directed by debutant Vijay Karthikeyaa was rumored to be an Independence Day release, after which there was some discussion about it hitting theatres closer to the leading man’s birthday in early September, but since then, there’s been radio silence, with all questions regarding a Max update going unanswered.
In October, it was then heard that the film would be promoted extensively on Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11, but 6 weeks in, there’s been no word on that either. As of now, there are only two star-led films left to hit theatres – Shivarajkumar’s Bhairathi Ranagal, which releases on November 15, and Upendra’s return to direction, UI, on December 20. Dhruva Sarja, whose Martin was a box office debacle, has KD, which was meant to be out in December, but the makers are yet to make an announcement.
Kiccha Sudeep's Max to target the first festival of 2025?
There is a massive window between Bhairathi Ranagal and UI, but Max is unlikely to release then, say netizens, with the buzz on social media now indicating that the Sudeep-led film will get an early 2025 festive outing. It is being said that Sankranti 2025 is the target, which gives the team enough time to promote the film. Sankranti is on January 14, Tuesday, so, January 10 is when Max is expected to release.
Sudeep was last seen onscreen in 2022’s Vikrant Rona and his fans have been getting restless, what with no word on Max. The actor has always followed one project-at-a-time policy, but given the inordinate delay between his movie releases, he has vowed to change that and work on multiple films simultaneously to ensure he has something in theatres at regular intervals.
Max, meanwhile, sees Sudeep in cop mode and while the team has been tight-lipped about the subject, it is said to revolve around events that unfold when his character, Arjun Mahakshay, faces an unexpected situation. An initial plot synopsis that did the rounds on social media had netizens saying that it bore too much of a similarity to the Telugu film Krack.
