Kiccha Sudeep’s Max and Rocking Star Yash’s Toxic are, without an iota of doubt, the films that Kannada audiences are looking forward to the most. And both films have kept fans on tenterhooks with literally no information coming from either team. While Max has been in the making for a year and is expected to release shortly, Toxic had a title and release date announcement in December last year and then nothing since.

Well, going by the buzz on social media, the wait for Max will end soon. On July 16, the first major update from Sudeep’s film will drop on social media at 12.34 pm. While the team had earlier hinted at a song release, we are now made to understand that there’s much more in store for fans. The teaser of Max is what is coming their way.

Meanwhile, OTTplay had reported earlier that although August 15 was a date the team was keen to consider for the release, it has already been booked by other stakeholders, some of who are close to Kiccha Sudeep and that he would not want to upset their plans. For starters, there’s Powder, produced by KRG Studios, the banner that is backing the Kannada superstar’s return to direction, King Kichcha. There’s also Gowri, the launch of Indrajit Lankesh’s son – Indrajit and Sudeep are childhood buddies.

A source from the film team then told OTTplay that the advancement was only going to be by a couple of weeks. September first week is when Max would release, which would make the 6th (Friday), the ideal date, considering that 7th is Ganesha Chaturthi. We now hear that it could be on September 5, so as to get the crowd’s that’s celebrating Gauri habba on the 6th as well. This would be only days after Sudeep’s birthday, making it the perfect gift from him to his fans.
