Kiccha Sudeep’s film Max was initially anticipated to debut on OTT platforms in January, following its successful run in theaters. However, similar to its theatrical release, which was speculated to occur in September 2024 but ultimately took place during the Christmas season, there has been no indication of Max being available on OTT in January. There were expectations that it would premiere on Zee5, but after a promotional announcement for its premiere on Zee Kannada, it was revealed that the digital streaming rights for the film had not yet been sold, and the producers were still exploring options.
Max is coming to Zee5, after all
For some time, Zee Network has focused on acquiring satellite rights, leaving the digital rights available. Consequently, it was believed that Max might follow the path of Bhairathi Ranagal and be released on Amazon Prime Video and Zee Kannada. However, recent information suggests that both the OTT and satellite rights have been secured by Zee Network, with plans for the film to be available on Zee5 soon. The tentative release date being discussed is February 22, although sources indicate it could be available even sooner.
