Netflix has unveiled a new promotional video for the film Nadaaniyan, featuring Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan. This latest promo also discloses the film's release date, set for March 7. The production is helmed by Karan Johar, with the promotional style drawing inspiration from his iconic film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
KKHH deja vu
The promo mirrors the classroom scene from the beloved 1998 film, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji. Archana Puran Singh reprises her role as Ms. Braganza, returning nearly 27 years later to teach Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. In a nod to Anjali's confusion, Pia (Khushi) finds herself perplexed when asked, "What is love?" However, the charming Arjun (Ibrahim) takes the lead, offering a modern twist on Rahul's famous line, stating, "Pyaar ek arrangement hai."
Pia is captivated by Arjun's feigned affection and promptly transfers ₹25,000 to him. She playfully suggests that viewers will need to watch the film next month on Netflix to learn more about their dynamic.
This is not the first instance of Karan Johar's films referencing his previous works. His film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani included nods to Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, while Ae Dil Hai Mushkil featured a recreation of the iconic rain scene with Shah Rukh and Kajol. Additionally, in his segment of Lust Stories, Kiara Advani's character experiences a climax set to the title track of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
