On April 9, Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to unveil a poster showcasing him as a Kathakali dancer. 

In his post, he wrote, "This is not merely a costume. It represents tradition, resistance, truth, and my nation. C Sankaran Nair did not wield a weapon; he confronted the British Empire through the law and with a passionate spirit. On 18th APRIL, we will present the court trial that was never included in textbooks. #KesariChapter2 #SankaranVsTheEmpire."

Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh is a courtroom drama inspired by the book The Case That Shook The Empire, authored by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. The narrative centers on lawyer C. Sankaran Nair's legal struggle against the British Empire in the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

In this film, Akshay Kumar will portray C. Sankaran Nair, while Madhavan takes on the role of Neville McKinley, a lawyer defending the British Empire. Additionally, Ananya Panday will play Dilreet Gill, a lawyer advocating for justice.

The film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Aruna Bhatia, Adar Poonawalla, Anand Tiwari, and Amritpal Singh Bindra.
