Kesari Chapter 2 box office collection day 3: The period drama featuring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday kicked off with a solid performance at the box office. Thanks to favorable reviews and positive buzz from audiences, the historical courtroom drama saw an uptick in its earnings over the weekend. According to the latest update from Sacnilk.com, the film has surpassed the ₹ 25 crore milestone in just three days.

Kesari Chapter 2 box office report

The report reveals that Kesari Chapter 2 experienced a boost in its numbers on the third day after its release, raking in ₹ 8.32 crore by 7 PM. It started off with ₹ 7.75 crore on its opening day, and the second day saw an increase to ₹ 9.75 crore. In total, the film has now earned ₹ 25.82 crore.

However, this figure falls short compared to Akshay's earlier film, Sky Force, which made ₹ 27.50 crore on its third day. Sky Force also had a much stronger opening weekend, accumulating a solid domestic nett of ₹ 61.75 crore.

On Sunday, Kesari Chapter 2 had a Hindi occupancy rate of 26.94%. The morning shows saw an occupancy of 17.28%, while the afternoon shows saw a rise to 36.60%.

Details on the movie

Karan Singh Tyagi directs this film, which is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape Of Good Films. It's inspired by the book "The Case That Shook the Empire" by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, focusing on C Sankaran Nair and the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919.

In the movie, Akshay takes on the role of C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer determined to reveal the truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh incident and challenge the British Raj. R Madhavan portrays Advocate Neville McKinley, while Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill.
