Kesari Chapter 2 Climbs to Sikandar's Day-One Mark Over Three Days

Despite the acclaim received by Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2 for its portrayal of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and the commendable performances of the cast, including R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday, the film has faced significant challenges at the Box Office. It experienced a notably weak opening, and even after the weekend, its earnings have not surpassed what Salman Khan's poorly received film, Sikandar, generated in just one day. In fact, Kesari 2 has yet to reach even fifty million in revenue.

Kesari: Chapter 2 Box Office collection day 3

Kesari 2 experienced limited growth during its opening weekend. As reported by Sacnilk, the film has generated Rs. 29 crore in revenue over this period. Starring Akshay Kumar, the movie earned Rs. 7.75 crore on its first day, followed by Rs. 9.75 crore on the second day, and Rs. 12.25 crore on the third day. Consequently, the total net earnings for the film stand at Rs. 29.75 crore for the first three days, which constitutes its opening weekend.

Sikandar day 2 vs Kesari 2 weekend Box Office

While Kesari 2 may have approached Rs. 30 crore on its second day, this figure represents the Box Office earnings of Salman Khan's Sikandar solely on its second day of release. Sikandar, which premiered on Sunday, March 30, earned Rs. 29 crore on its first Monday, coinciding with the Eid holiday. In contrast, Kesari 2 benefited from both Good Friday and Easter holidays but fell short of reaching the Rs. 50 crore milestone achieved by Sikandar.

Jaat Box Office collection

Sunny Deol's film Jaat, which premiered at the Box Office two weeks ago, is facing challenges in its performance. The film has not approached the financial success of Gadar 2 and has yet to reach the Rs. 100 crore milestone in net earnings (Sikandar achieved this mark after its second weekend but subsequently stalled).

The pressing question now is whether Kesari 2 can maintain its momentum at the Box Office, even with positive reviews. The film has not yet entered the Rs. 100 crore club, although this may be achievable in the upcoming weekend.
