The narrative centers on Advocate C. Sankaran Nair's legal battle against the British Empire, as he seeks to reveal the truth behind the massacre.

Ensemble cast of Kesari Chapter 2
As a sequel to the 2019 film Kesari, Chapter 2 has attracted considerable attention not only for its storyline but also for its impressive cast. Akshay Kumar portrays C. Sankaran Nair, while R. Madhavan plays Neville McKinley, a lawyer representing the British Empire. Ananya Panday takes on the role of Dilreet Gill, a female lawyer who joins forces with Akshay's character in the pursuit of justice.
The cast also features Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, Steven Hartley, among others.

At the trailer launch for Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar expressed, "The people of Punjab are incredibly brave, loyal, and filled with courage. I aim to showcase their stories to the world. I aspire to create 'Kesari 3 and 4' as there are numerous chapters in Punjab and across India that deserve to be highlighted. I want to reveal the valor and the contributions of India."
He further noted that he has previously addressed this issue, as history has often been portrayed from a British perspective, and he is keen to present the true historical narrative to the audience.
R. Madhavan in negative role

R. Madhavan impressed audiences with his antagonist role in Shaitaan alongside Ajay Devgn. He is now set to take on another negative character in Kesari Chapter 2. It will be intriguing to see him in conflict with the characters played by Akshay and Ananya in the film.
During the trailer launch, Madhavan reflected on how the Jallianwala Bagh chapter was a source of frustration during his school years, as it required memorization of dates and events for exams. However, he later recognized the profound significance of the incident. "While working on the film, I understood that this is one of the largest genocides in history. I believe no other stories could resonate with me more. I am indifferent to whether my character is portrayed as negative or positive," he stated.

The film's first song, titled O Shera - Teer Te Taj, was recently released and has received a positive response on social media. One fan remarked, "A powerful motivational song," while another noted, "Oo Shera resonates differently." Composed by Sangtar, with lyrics by Sukhwinder Amrit, the song features vocals by Manmohan Waris, Kamal Heer, and Sangtar. It is infused with patriotic themes and has heightened excitement for the film.
