The streaming calendar keeps expanding every day, making it nearly impossible to track every new release. Some films, after debuting in theaters, are eagerly awaited on streaming platforms, with The Buckingham Murders starring Kareena Kapoor Khan being a prime example. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film has had an intriguing journey, gathering accolades and screening at festivals. It premiered in Indian theaters in September and opened at the prestigious MAMI Film Festival in 2023. Now, it's set for another major release as it drops on Netflix in November, and the date is just around the corner.

The Buckingham Murders Netflix Release Date Announced

The Buckingham Murders stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Brar, and an ensemble cast, and was shot extensively in the UK. Written and directed by Hansal Mehta, the film delves into themes of trauma, loss, and grief, unfolding through an investigation launched after a young boy goes missing. This search unearths a web of secrets that changes the story entirely. The movie’s digital premiere on Netflix had already been confirmed, but the release date had remained a mystery—until now.

Netflix has recently updated its app listings to include new titles coming in November, and The Buckingham Murders will be streaming on the platform starting November 8, 2024. Yes, it’s official! About The Buckingham Murders

The official synopsis reads: A grieving cop loses her child to murder and moves to another town where she investigates the disappearance of a missing child. The film opened in Indian theaters on September 13, but had a modest box office performance and received mixed reviews, which kept some viewers away from theaters.

Addressing the box office response, Kareena Kapoor shared: “Each film has a different audience, especially in today's time. The audience that's going to watch Singham Again is obviously not the audience for The Buckingham Murders. It’s more English, cerebral, an indie kind of movie. Jaane Jaan on Netflix, for instance, has a different audience than Crew. Understanding how to balance that, I think, is something I have learned to do.”

Watch The Buckingham Murders on Netflix starting November 8, 2024. Stay tuned to Mobile Masala for more updates on this and everything else in streaming and film.
