Karathey Babu OTT partner: Where to stream Ravi Mohan's film on political chaos around a name change

We had earlier reported that actor Jayam Ravi who now goes by the name Ravi Mohan, will be collaborating with director Ganesh K Babu of Dada fame, for the actor's 34th outing. The makers on Wednesday unveiled the title teaser of the film. Until now called RM 34, the film has been titled Karathey Babu.

RM 34 is now Karathey Babu; title teaser out

Actor Ravi Mohan, who was last seen in Kadhalikka Neramillai which is running in theatres right now, had announced a project with director Ganesh K Babu a while ago. The project has now got a name. Titled Karathey Babu, the title teaser is now out.

The teaser begins with the atmosphere set in the legislative assembly, where one of the politicians questions why the opponents is curious to know the former name of his political party member. We see prominent faces appear in the teaser, as the opponent talks about the importance of a name, as we see a scuffle happening inside the parliament. We see Ravi Mohan standing up, whose name is in the contention, and how he was called 17 years before as Karathey Babu.

Production banner Screen Scene Media, which bankrolled films including Iruttu, Dharala Prabhu, Saani Kaayidham and the web series Mathagam, is producing this project.

Ravi Mohan’s Karathey Babu will stream on ZEE5 after its theatrical run, the makers announced. The film will also be available on OTTplay Premium app.

Karathey Babu features a cast including Daudee S Jiwal, Shakthi Vasudevan, K.S. Ravi Kumar, Nasser, Vtv Ganesh, Subramaniam Siva, Kavithalayaa Krishnan, Pradeep Antony, Raja Rani Pandian, Sandeep Raj, Knife Naren, Sindhupriya, Ajith Gosh Aravindh, Kalki Raja, Sri Dhanya, Anandhi, Ilan, Sam Anderson, Vetrivel, Nandhini Senthamizh, and others.

Directed by Ganesh K Babu, the technical crew consists of music scored by Sam CS. The director of photography is Ezhil Arasu K and Kathiresh Alagesan is the editor. Rathna Kumar, and Bakkiyam Sankar have worked as writers as well.
