Karan Johar recently participated in the Cinevesture International Film Festival (CIFF) held in Chandigarh, as reported by Hindustan Times. During the event, he spoke about collaborating with a diverse group of directors. He announced that Reema Maya, recognized for her work on Nocturnal Burger, will be at the helm of the highly anticipated Student Of The Year 3, which is now being developed as a web series. Johar highlighted that this third instalment will embody Reema’s creative vision rather than his own, indicating a shift from the franchise's established style.

"Reema Maya will be directing the digital adaptation of Student of the Year. However, it will be her interpretation, not mine, because if I were to step into Reema Maya’s realm, I would create something more illusory, which her name suggests. I wanted it to resonate with her voice. She has truly made it her own series," Karan Johar remarked.
