Karan Johar and SS Rajamouli are both distinguished filmmakers within the industry. They have produced numerous blockbuster films that have garnered them significant acclaim and popularity. In a recent interview, Karan expressed that cinema has the potential to transcend boundaries when directors possess steadfast belief in their narratives. In a discussion with Komal Nahta, Karan Johar was posed the question, “When logic is set aside, what takes precedence?” He responded with, “Conviction.” He elaborated, stating, “This is of utmost importance. When examining the journeys of the most accomplished filmmakers, it becomes evident that their finest and most successful works stem from a strong sense of conviction. In the presence of conviction, the relevance of logic diminishes.”

Using SS Rajamouli's approach to filmmaking as a case in point, KJo illustrated that while his films may not always adhere to traditional logic, the director's unwavering confidence in his narrative engages the audience, making them believe in the events that transpire on screen.

Consider the films of Rajamouli, for example. Where can one find logic? What stands out in his works is the strong sense of conviction. When this conviction is prominently displayed, it compels the audience to believe in the narrative. This principle applies to all significant blockbusters, such as Animal, RRR, and Gadar, all of which are propelled by this conviction, KJo remarked.

He continued by stating that if a character is depicted as defeating 1,000 individuals with merely a handpump, it is a testament to that conviction. "Anil Sharma has faith in Sunny Deol's ability to achieve this, and consequently, the audience shares that belief. In Gadar 2, the instant he makes contact with someone, they flee. That exemplifies pure faith," he concluded.

Karan Johar has recently revealed his upcoming project, a romantic comedy named Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The film, directed by Sameer Vidwans, stars Kartik Aaryan in the principal role.

In a different development, SS Rajamouli is engaged in the production of SSMB29, an ambitious adventure film featuring Mahesh Babu. The cast also includes Priyanka Chopra.
