Kannappa release window: Vishnu Manchu’s starry fantasy film to hit theatres soon

Kannappa is an upcoming Telugu film that boasts a star ensemble and is headlined by actor Vishnu Manchu. While the makers had released the teaser of the film recently, the actor on Thursday announced on social media the release window of the film. Kannappa to release soon

Kannappa is a multi-starrer Telugu film which has been in the making for a while. Recently, the makers had revealed the character poster of Sarathkumar for his birthday. Now, actor Vishnu Manchu revealed the release window of the film. On Thursday, the actor posted on X that the film will hit theatres for December 2024. However, the date is expected to be confirmed towards the near of release.

Besides Vishnu Manchu, the cast of Kannappa will have known faces from various film industries, including actors Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Prabhas, Preity Mukundhan, Akshay Kumar, Sarathkumar and Kajal Aggarwal. The details of their roles have been kept under wraps. The film is helmed by director Mukesh Kumar Singh, with a screenplay written by Vishnu Manchu himself.

Kannappa is said to have a release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. Backed by Mohan Babu under the banners 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment, the film is shot by cinematographer Sheldon Chau and edited by Anthony Gonsalvez. Stephen Devassay is the music director of the film.

It is to be noted that Vishnu Manchu had printed Kannappa’s story as a book and released it on the occasion of his father, legendary actor Mohan Babu's birthday, sometime back. The mythological fantasy film, Kannappa is said to be based on the character Kannappa who is known to be an ardent devotee of Hindu deity Shiva.

Meanwhile, Vishnu Manchu was last seen in the 2022 horror comedy film Ginna. It starred actors Payal Rajput, Sunny Leone, Vennela Kishore, and Raghu Babu among others.
