In the final two months of 2024, Kannada cinema offered limited options for audiences in theaters. The notable releases included Shivarajkumar’s Bhairathi Ranagal, Upendra’s UI, and Kiccha Sudeep’s Max. December, in particular, proved to be quite uneventful for Kannada films, overshadowed by the box office success of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. Although a few smaller yet commendable films were released in November, they have not yet made their way to OTT platforms, with expectations that they will be available in the upcoming year.

Maryade Prashne

RJ Pradeepa’s inaugural film production is a revenge drama set against the backdrop of socio-economic disparities in Bengaluru. Directed by Nagaraj Somayaji and inspired by a story from Pradeepa, Maryade Prashne follows three friends—Suri (Rakesh Adiga), Manja (Poorna Mysore), and Sathisha (Suneel Raoh)—each grappling with their own challenges to survive, whose lives intersect with a group of affluent individuals, led by Prabhu Mundkur’s character Rocky, under tragic circumstances.

Aaram Arvind Swamy

The latest directorial venture by Abhishek Shetty features Aniish, Milana Nagaraj, and Hrithika Srinivas in leading roles. When she pressures him to advance their relationship, he decides to escape, hoping she will reconsider, thus granting him time to resolve his issues. It is speculated that this decision is linked to the film's future on OTT platforms, with indications that it will also be available on Zee5 shortly after the 30-day window.
