Kanguva, the upcoming period fantasy action film marks the first collaboration of Suriya and director Siva. The long-awaited film, which features the National Award winner in a double role, is gearing up for a grand release on October 10, 2024. Expectations are riding high on the project after the release of its glimpse video, and the first single. As per the latest updates, Suriya and Siva are now set to release the Kanguva trailer, on August 12, 2024.

Kanguva trailer release date out

Recently, the makers of the Suriya starrer took to their official social media handles and confirmed that the Kanguva trailer is slated to be released on Monday, August 12, 2024. “The anticipation ends now! The time for glory is arriving. Get ready for a celebration like no other. The grand Kanguva Trailer is all set to be yours from 12th August,” reads the social media post of the production banner, Studio Green. The trailer will be screened in the theatres along with the Chiyaan Vikram starrer Thangalaan, from August 15.

Even though the makers have not revealed the trailer release time or any other details yet, it is safe to assume that the Kanguva trailer will be released by the evening of Monday, August 12. The upcoming glimpse of Suriya and director Siva’s ambitious project has reportedly been titled ‘The World Of Kanguva’. It is expected to be followed by more promotional videos and a release trailer, which will be released in October 2024, a few days before the film’s release.

Suriya is reportedly appearing in a double role in Kanguva, as a modern man and a tribal leader who lived 5000 years back. Bollywood star Bobby Deol is making his Tamil debut with the film, as the lead antagonist. Disha Patani is appearing as the female lead in the Siva directorial. 

Kanguva stars Kovai Sarala, Jisshu Sengupta, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Natarajan Subramaniam, Anand Raj, Ravi Raghavendra, KS Ravikumar, Deepa Venkat, and others in supporting roles. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music. Vetri Palanisamy is the director of photography. The period fantasy film is jointly produced by the banners Studio Green and UV Creations.
