Kanguva advance bookings soars
Starring Suriya in the lead role, and written and directed by Siruthai Siva, Kanguva is gearing up for release this Thursday. The film is backed by Studio Green and will be releasing in both 2D and 3D versions. Naturally, being a Tamil film originally, Kanguva has seen good advance bookings in Tamil Nadu more than any other state, with nearly 2 crore seats booked. The makers have left no stone unturned to market the film as pan-India, and Kanguva has also been seeing decent ticket sale ratios across the country.
With the film releasing in over 11,000 screens across the world, Kanguva, as per reports, the day one collection predicted for the film is about Rs 65 crore, across nation. Given the film's content has attracted the audience, we can expect the Suriya-starrer film to rule the box office. However, one has to wait and watch, if Kanguva will be able to gain a pan-Indian success. The film has been made on a budget of about Rs 300 crore, and only time will tell if the makers will see Kanguva as a profit venture.
