As per preliminary estimates from Sacnilk, Emergency experienced a modest increase in revenue on its third day in theaters. The film, directed by Kangana, earned Rs 4.35 crore, bringing its total collection to nearly Rs 12 crore.
Notably, Emergency is surpassing the performance of Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's Game Changer, which accumulated Rs 2.5 crore in India (across all languages) on the tenth day of its release.
Kangana Ranaut on difficulties while making Emergency
In a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, Kangana Ranaut candidly discussed the obstacles she encountered while producing Emergency. "Indeed, I faced financial difficulties during the film's production. Many individuals withdrew their support, and there was no interest from any OTT platform. I had to mortgage my home to finance the project. While I experienced these challenges, I lacked someone to confide in," the actress revealed.
Kangana also reflected on the criticism she received, noting that she has never employed a public relations team for self-promotion, while her detractors engaged PR professionals to tarnish her reputation. "They filed baseless allegations against me, labeling me as psycho, chudail, and stalker. The negative discourse surrounding me was excessive. Such derogatory remarks about a woman are rarely addressed," she remarked.
