Malayalam had an amazing first half of 2024, with several successful box office releases across multiple genres that were praised for both their performances and storylines. July doesn't have a lot of films that will be shown in theatres, despite June having a great deal of releases. In the meantime, several Malayalam movies are anticipated to make their online premieres in the upcoming month.

Kanakarajyam (July 5)

Leading parts in the poignant family drama go to Murali Gopy and Indrans. The movie's trailer gives away some of the plot, which centres on the lives of a young man and a former army officer. The latest poster states that the story centres on a Gramin Bank in Kasaragod's Bedakam. Touted as an investigative thriller, the movie features supporting performances from Kalabhavan Shajohn, Alexander Prasanth, Rony David Raj, Sanju Sivram, Srikant Murali, Devaki Rajendran, and Harish Peradi.

Vishesham (July 19)

Vishesham, which is touted to be a promising comedy family entertainer, is directed by Sooraj Tom. The film seeks to captivate audiences with its charming narrative and captivating style of storytelling. The producers assert that the tale centres on the union of two middle-aged individuals who fall in love and the societal judgments they face as a consequence.

Pushpaka Vimanam (July 19)

The film features Siju Wilson and Balu Varghese in the lead roles. The teaser introduces the characters of Siju and Balu before going on to discuss the value of time. With the protagonist in a race against time, it looks to be an exciting thriller with lots of action sequences.

Level Cross (July 26)

Amala Paul, Asif Ali, and Sharaf U Dheen play the main roles in this thriller. In the teaser for Level Cross, Asif Ali's enigmatic character talks of a secluded place with a railway level crossing and laments the abrupt departure of the area's former residents. He is forbidden from contacting Amala Paul's family, implying that she has sought safety there.
