Last year, we were all buzzing with excitement when it was announced that Dulquer Salmaan would be producing a film starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen in the lead roles. Details about the movie are still pretty scarce, but it's the seventh project from DQ’s Wayfarer Films. The latest news is that filming has officially wrapped up. Here’s what we know so far about Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen’s upcoming Malayalam flick.

Dulquer Salmaan revealed Wayfarer Films' seventh project back in September 2024. Now, the crew has shared that the film, directed by Arun Dominic, has finished shooting after 94 days, with the final day being January 29, 2025.

In addition to Naslen, the cast includes Arun Kurian and Chandu Salimkumar. All three actors completed their filming earlier this week, and the final wrap has just been confirmed. 

Kalyani shared an update earlier this New Year, mentioning that they’ve been filming for 73 days and have three weeks to go. Another cool tidbit is that Dulquer Salmaan and Tovino Thomas might make cameo appearances in the movie. Nimish Ravi is handling the cinematography, and Yannick Ben is on board for the stunt choreography. 

Santhy Balachandran shares her thoughts on Naslen and Kalyani Priyadarshan

Santhy Balachandran, who made her acting debut alongside Tovino Thomas in Tharangam, is now stepping into the world of screenwriting with her latest project. She’s teamed up with director Arun Dominic to co-write this film, which is still untitled.

Having appeared in notable films like Lijo Jose Pellissery's Jallikkattu, Santhy recently took to social media to share her thoughts on the lead actors, emphasizing the unique qualities that helped them embody their roles.

In her praise for Naslen, Santhy mentioned, “Your spontaneity combined with a sharp attention to detail makes for a powerful mix in an actor.” 

Santhy shared a sweet appreciation post for Kalyani, mentioning that the Hridyam actress will showcase a brand-new side of herself in the film. She expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thanks for being as committed to C and this project as the creative team has been,” which has us curious if Kalyani’s character name begins with ‘C’. 

Kalyani and Naslen have some new movies on the way

Kalyani Priyadarshan is set to appear in Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, which features Fahadh Faasil and is directed by Althaf Salim.

Meanwhile, Naslen is working on Alappuzha Gymkhana, directed by Khalid Rahman, with a release planned for 2025.
