Kalki 2898 AD is the most anticipated upcoming project in the South Indian film industry right now. The futuristic science fiction film which features Prabhas in the lead role, is directed by Nag Ashwin. The movie, which marks the Telugu cinema debut of Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, is slated to hit the big screens on June 27, 2024. Ahead of the grand release, the team has been planning to conduct a grand trailer launch event. However, the election results are expected to have a clear impact on the Kalki 2898 AD trailer launch event.

Kalki 2898 AD trailer launch event put on hold?

If the recent updates are to be believed, the Kalki 2898 AD trailer launch event has been put on hold for now due to the impending election results in Telugu states. As per the recent reports by 123Telugu.com, the makers have been planning to conduct a grand trailer launch event in a popular city of Telugu states and later in all major Indian cities. However, director Nag Ashwin and his team are unable to finalise a venue for the star-studded event, due to the election results.

The reports suggest that the Kalki 2898 AD trailer launch event will be decided based on the outcome of the 2024 elections. The political connections of Ashwini Dutt, the head honcho of production banner Vyjayanthi Movies, have reportedly complicated the decision even further. The rest of the promotional activities, including both the public events and media interactions across the country, will be decided only after the trailer launch date and venue are finalised.

Bujji And Bhairava series raise expectations on Kalki 2898 AD

The recently released Bujji And Bhairava animated series has clearly raised expectations on Kalki 2898 AD. For the uninitiated, Telugu superstar Prabhas is set to play the role of Bhairava in the film, which focuses on the dystopian society in Varanasi city. Legendary Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is playing Ashwatthama in the film, which stars multi-faceted talent Kamal Haasan as the lead antagonist. Deepika Padukone’s role, however, has been kept under wraps for now.
