Kalki 2898 AD box office collection day 1 - Nag Ashwin's film was one of the highly anticipated movies of this year. Starring Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in the lead roles, the movie opened to a thunderous response from audiences and critics alike. Needless to add, Kalki 2898 AD also got a monstrous start at the box office. On day 1 in India, the epic science fiction film reportedly got an opening of Rs 95 crore.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD collectively minted Rs 95 crore in India on day one at the box office. The language-wise collection of the Nag Ashwin directorial is as follows - Rs 64.5 crore (Telugu), Rs 24 crore (Hindi), Rs 4 crore (Tamil), Rs 2.2 crore (Malayalam) and Rs 0.3 crore (Kannada).

Given its stronghold at the box office on day one, Kalki 2898 AD might witness growth in the coming days and shatter several box office records. And once this film's theatrical run ends, Kalki 2898 AD's Hindi version will drop on Netflix. However, the makers are yet to confirm the OTT release date of the movie.

Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan shared his experience working in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD. The megastar penned his thoughts on his official blog. A part of it read, "When you work on such projects it is never known what the end results shall be... and as the days pass by, and the clips and finer points begin to appear... you wonder how in hell did the Director conceive all this."

Apart from the primary cast, the film has several cameos from actors like Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, Brahmanandam, and Anna Ben.
