Nag Ashwin reveals Prabhas' reaction to Kalki's success

Ever since the film went on floors, there was news that Kalki was made on a budget of Rs 350 crore and some said the makers spent a whopping Rs 600 crore at the box office. Well, now that the film has grossed over Rs 850 crore at the box office, are the makers in profits? Nag Ashwin, the director himself, answers these questions in an interview.

The talented director says that Vyjayanthi Movies is super confident that they will recover every penny they spend on the film in just a few days and will also see profits. Speaking about the producer, Aswini Dutt, Nag Ashwin says that he is a risk taker and went all out to make Kalki 2898 AD the biggest film in India, and he has delivered what he promised.

On the other hand, Nag Ashwin also reveals what Prabhas' reaction was to the massive collections of the film. "Prabhas is quite happy and told me that he is quite excited to be a part of some record-breaking films in Indian cinema. He is a very humble human, and if not for him, Kalki 2898 AD would not have made the money it did at the box office," says Nag Ashwin.

Nag Ashwin is also happy that Kalki has reached a wide range of audience and has given many young directors like him to dream big in the days to come. The news in the film circles is that as soon as the makers end in the profit zone, they will hold a special event to celebrate the success.
