Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, and Saqib Saleem came together for a horror comedy recently. The film titled Kakuda was released directly on the digital platform on July 12, 2024. The spooky comedy is currently streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. Now that the film has been streaming for more than a week on the OTT platform, it has now made it to the global rankings. Kakuda is trending No. 1 globally

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film has now ranked no. 1 globally. Sharing the good news, the makers took to their official social media account and made the announcement. Sharing the poster featuring the lead actors of the film, the makers wrote in the caption - "Kakuda has become a global sensation, for all the funny and haunting reasons! #Kakuda streaming now, only on #ZEE5"

The narrative of Kakuda revolves around the cursed village of Ratodi, where people have to keep a small door out of their two doors open every Tuesday at 7 pm. If not done, the man of the house with the family will face the wrath of Kakuda. Will the villagers be able to overcome their fear of Kakuda or not? Watch the film and know your answers. 

Meanwhile, for the uninitiated, Kakuda, also starring Saqib Saleem and Aasif Khan, has achieved two milestones within four days of its release on the streaming platform. The film became the "number 1 most searched comedy on Google." Sharing this news, the makers shared the news with a social media post by writing, "Kakuda is hilariously making his way to the top and to everyone's hearts! Kakuda streaming now, only on ZEE5 (sic)."

Earlier, the director of the film spoke about Sonakshi's role in the film and said, "So when we approached her, she had not done Heeramandi. So for us, it was like a very unique (factor) in the film. Also, the fact that she plays a character who wants to save her husband. So for me, it was something that really went well with the way I felt that she could carry it really well."

Kakuda is currently streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium.
