Kakuda became Sonakshi Sinha's first film to be released after her marriage. The actress has essayed a double role in filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar's spooky comedy. After Munjya's success, Sarpotdar's film Kakuda had its direct-to-OTT release on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. The film premiered on July 12 with mixed feedback. Although it's been over a week since Kakuda's release, the makers continue to drop engaging content around it. The latest promo hints at the major reason why you should watch Kakuda.

Is Kakuda a must-watch because of Sonakshi Sinha?

ZEE5 dropped a promo and revealed the reason why people must watch Kakuda on the streaming platform. While the video begins with Sonakshi Sinha suggesting Kakuda should be watched because of her, she soon changes the reason. She further points towards the ghost Kakuda thereby calling him the main reason to watch Aditya Sarpotdar's film.

Sharing this video on Instagram, the streamer wrote, "Kakuda ke rehte reasoning nahi warning milti hai. Don't upset him, watch Kakuda now! Kakuda streaming only on ZEE5 (sic)."

For the uninitiated, Sonakshi is seen as Indira and Gomati in the film. The horror comedy film's story is about Sonakshi's character seeking a ghost hunter's help to save her husband from Kakuda. Riteish Deshmukh plays Victor, a ghost hunter while Saqib Saleem essays the part of Sunny (Sonakshi's on-screen husband).

Sonakshi Sinha on being a part of Kakuda

In an interview with The Indian Express, Sonakshi Sinha shared her thoughts about doing Kakuda. The actress said, "Kakuda came to me and I just found it to be such a fun read. I was very entertained while reading the script. Although I don’t like horror films, there was so much humour in this film. Aditya (Sarpotdar) is someone who has understood this genre so well. I think his grasp on it is fantastic."

Sinha added that it was a pleasure to work on this genre for the first time with a director who is well-versed with the horror comedy space.
