Actor Kajal Aggarwal has unveiled her initial appearance in the film Kannappa, which features Akshay Kumar and Prabhas alongside her. In a post on Instagram, Kajal presented her portrayal of Parvati Devi and described the opportunity to participate in Kannappa as a "dream role."

In the promotional poster, Kajal Aggarwal is depicted in an elegant white saree complemented by ornate jewellery. The tagline of the poster states, "The Mother who governs the three realms! The Trishakti who safeguards her followers! Within the revered Sri Kalahasti temple dwells the sacred Jana Prasunambika!"
Kajal expressed her excitement in the caption, stating, "A dream role indeed! Happy to be starting 2025 on this divine note #Kannappa #HarHarMahadev #MAAParvatiDevi." In response to her post, fellow actor Tamannaah Bhatia remarked, "So beautiful."
About Kannappa
Kannappa is helmed by director Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Vishnu Manchu's production companies, AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. The cast includes notable actors such as Prabhas, Preity Mukhundhan, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Brahmanandam, Madhoo, and Mukesh Rishi. This film is set to be released in several languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English.
The narrative centres on the legendary figure of Kannappa celebrated as one of the most devoted followers of Lord Shiva. His journey from a hunter to a warrior and ultimately to a saint has earned him the esteemed title of Nayanar.
The musical score for the film is crafted by Mani Sharma and Stephen Devassy, with cinematography managed by Sheldon Chau. Kannappa is a mythological fantasy film scheduled to premiere in theatres on April 25.

Last year, the teaser of the fantasy drama was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. After the screening, Vishnu wrote on X, “We showcased the teaser of Kannappa here in Cannes, and it received an overwhelmingly positive response! International distributors, local Indians, and everyone who saw it absolutely loved it. I am excited and have butterflies in my stomach after witnessing such fantastic reactions.”
