Recently, Lokesh Kanagaraj took to his official social media handles as the Karthi starrer completed 5 years of its release and dropped two major updates. The filmmaker confirmed Kathi 2 with a special post and dropped a major update on the ‘Origins Of LCU’ short film.

Lokesh Kanagaraj announces Kaithi 2

The celebrated filmmaker recently took to his official social media handles and dropped a special picture with leading man Karthi, as he celebrated 5 years of his first blockbuster, Kaithi. “It all started from here! Grateful to @Karthi_Offl sir, @Prabhu_sr sir, and the ‘universe’ for making this happen. Dilli will return soon,” wrote Lokesh Kanagaraj, who officially announced that Kaithi 2 is set to go on floors soon.

If you wish to revisit the Karthi starrer on this occasion, the action thriller the original Tamil version of the 2019-released blockbuster is currently available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The Hindi dubbed version of the Karthi starrer can be streamed on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium.

Origins Of LCU: Big update out

Later, director Lokesh Kanagaraj shared a special poster of ‘Origins Of LCU’, the highly anticipated short film which narrates the story behind the birth of the action thriller franchise. “A teaching exercise that led to a ‘10 minute Prelude to the Origins of LCU’. #ChapterZEROFL unlock,” reads the director’s post. As per the latest updates, a 10-minute-long prelude to the first chapter of the short film, which has been titled ‘Chapter Zero’, is gearing up to be revealed soon.

If the reports are to be believed, most of the main pillars of LCU, including actors Narain, Arjun Das, Kalidas Jayaram, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, editor Philomin Raj, and many others are said to be a part of the ‘Origins Of LCU’ short film. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial will unravel the concept behind building an action cinema universe in Tamil cinema, and is expected to answer many doubts that the audience have about the franchise.
