Kay Kay Menon plays Sherlock Holmes in Srijit Mukherji’s web show

It has been reported that Srijit Mukherji was making Sherlock Holmes. The film's first look was released on Friday. Kay Kay Menon is playing Sherlock in the film, to be released on Jio Cinema.
Srijit shared a motion poster on social media on Friday. It showed different blocks arranged among themselves to create Sherlock's face. Srijit wrote, “Assemble all the pictures and you will understand that only this person can solve all the problems.” He also mentioned that the film is based on the writings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Ranvir Shorey might play Watson in the project. Rasika Duggal, Kirti Kulhari, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya will play other important roles. As per reports, Srijit is the creative head of the project besides directing some of the episodes.
Srijit previously made several Bollywood films. One was Shabbash Mithu where Taapsee Pannu played the lead. In Begum Jaan, Vidya Balan played the lead. He has also directed Pankaj Tripathi in Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga. Neither of the films did well at the box office. He directed several OTT projects, including Jaanbaz Hindustan Ke and Ray.
On the other hand, his film, Padatik – a biopic of Mrinal Sen dedicated to his birth Centenary – will be released soon. The film will also be screened at the Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne. Bangladeshi actor Chanvchal Chowdhury plays the character of Mrinal Sen, while Monami Ghosh plays Geeta Sen.
