A couple of months back, Kannada actor Dhruva Sarja was all set for not just one, but two movie releases this year. He had Martin and KD – The Devil ready to go, but the second one, directed by Prem, got pushed back and is now slated for 2025. On the bright side, they’ve wrapped up the main filming, and the crew is busy with dubbing and other post-production stuff, so the promotions are already kicking off.

KD - The Devil's debut track is about to drop...

KD - The Devil, brought to you by KVN Productions, is kicking off its promotional campaign with the release of the first song on December 24. Titled Shiva Shiva, the song will be unveiled at an event, with details about the time and location set to be revealed on December 15. The film features music by Arjun Janya and is said to have six tracks, which were sold for a record price back in May.

Set in the underworld of 1970s Bengaluru, KD – The Devil was primarily filmed on specially designed sets. This action-packed commercial film marks the first period project for both Prem and Dhruva. Dhruva, who bulked up significantly for his role in Martin, had to slim down quite a bit for his character in KD.

William David, who was behind the camera for Kiccha Sudeep’s Vikrant Rona, is the cinematographer for KD, which features a star-studded cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Reeshma Nanaiah, V Ravichandra, and Ramesh Aravind, among others.

On another note, Dhruva’s long-awaited film Martin finally hit theaters for Dasara but received a harsh reception from both critics and viewers. With a production budget estimated between Rs 100-120 crore, it seems to have only recouped a small portion of that. Despite this setback, producer Uday K Mehta is planning to collaborate with Dhruva again. They were originally set to work on a project titled Dubari with director Nanda Kishore, but that plan fell through, leading them to create Martin, which is based on a story by Dhruva’s uncle, Arjun Sarja.
